If we haven’t met yet, I’m the recipe developer, photographer, and huge appetite behind RootFed.
I created this site for one simple reason: I was tired of choosing between “being healthy” and “feeling full.”
Like many of you, I spent my 30s and early 40s riding the rollercoaster of restrictive diets. I tried cutting carbs. I tried counting almonds. I tried eating salads that tasted like sad water. And every time, I ended up hungry, grumpy, and diving headfirst into a bag of chips by 8 PM.
Then, I discovered the secret: Fiber.
I realized that the problem wasn’t food. The problem was that I wasn’t eating enough of the right stuff.
At RootFed, we do things differently. We don’t shrink portions. We expand them. We use “Sneaky Fiber” ingredients like white beans, oats, sweet potatoes, and veggies to bulk up your favorite comfort foods.

My Kitchen Philosophy: “Cook once, eat twice.” You will find a lot of meal-prep friendly recipes here because who has time to cook every night?
